Rangers ended their winless run on the road with a 2-0 victory against St Mirren at The Marbill Coaches Stadium. Ryan Naderi opened the scoring for the visitors with an 18th-minute penalty, before returning captain Dan Neil secured the win with a deflected second-half strike. The result extended the Ibrox side's unbeaten streak across all competitions to 12 matches.
The victory moved manager Derek McInnes's team to within one point of Premiership leaders Celtic. St Mirren manager Craig McLeish made five changes to his lineup, but the hosts could not breach Rangers goalkeeper Ivor Pandur, who produced key second-half saves against substitutes Eseosa Sule and Luke Thomas.
