Man United's managerial uncertainty is rumbling on, even after Michael Carrick finally gave supporters something to cheer in Europe.

Manchester United have reportedly contacted the representatives of Como manager Cesc Fàbregas regarding a potential move to replace Michael Carrick. United officials held extensive internal talks about the former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder as they consider their managerial options amid Carrick's uncertain future, with the club sitting 17th in the Premier League.
Director of football Jason Wilcox, CEO Omar Berrada, and Christopher Vivell previously met at Carrington, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe joining remotely, giving Carrick until the international break to improve results. While other candidates including Eddie Howe and Julian Nagelsmann are also linked, United intermediaries have enquired about Fàbregas' situation despite the difficulty of luring him away from Como mid-season.
