Phil Parkinson says Wrexham's immediate focus remains on the pitch after speaking with co-chairman Ryan Reynolds following the club's latest boardroom developments.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has addressed the sudden departure of chief executive Michael Williamson, stating that the team's immediate focus remains on football matters. Williamson left the club after just over two years, during which Wrexham achieved a third consecutive promotion to the Championship. Club director Shaun Harvey has stepped in as acting chief executive following the announcement.
Parkinson revealed that co-chairman Ryan Reynolds personally called him on Friday morning to deliver the news. The manager welcomed Harvey's transition into the interim role, highlighting his long-standing presence and crucial role in the club's development since Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took ownership. Parkinson made the remarks following Wrexham's 1-1 draw against Wolves.
