In challenging weather conditions, Lando Norris clinched pole position for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.

McLaren driver Lando Norris explained how avoiding mistakes helped him secure pole position during a rain-soaked Qualifying session for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Norris recorded a benchmark time of 1m 27.470s before worsening rain stopped other drivers from improving, giving him his third straight pole position at the Interlagos circuit.
Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli is set to start alongside Norris on the front row after George Russell received a five-place grid penalty. Meanwhile, Norris's teammate Oscar Piastri suffered an early exit in Q2 following a red flag caused by Rafael Camara, but penalties will elevate Piastri to tenth on the starting grid.
