Lamar Jackson told his Ravens teammates that he plans to return later this season, sources told NFL Network.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson reportedly informed teammates that he plans to return this season after undergoing surgery for a fractured and dislocated right thumb. Jackson was placed on injured reserve following the injury suffered against the Buffalo Bills, but he has not been ruled out for the year. His typical recovery timeline is expected to be six to nine weeks, potentially targeting an early January comeback.
In Jackson's absence, Baltimore finalized a trade on Friday for quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who is expected to start against the Los Angeles Chargers on Nov. 16. The Ravens (4-5) are also missing backup Tyler Huntley, who is expected to miss the rest of the season with a toe injury. Rookie Joe Fagnano started in Baltimore's recent 33-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
