The Jambos were beaten 5-2 by Falkirk.

Hearts manager Wouter Vrancken labelled his team's first-half display an embarrassment after suffering a 5-2 home defeat to Falkirk. The loss ended Hearts' 18-month unbeaten home league run at Tynecastle and marked their first domestic home loss since April 2025. Falkirk surged to a 5-0 lead within 47 minutes through goals from Finley Barbrook, Owen Eames, Liam Henderson, and a double from Jacob Murrell before Sabri Guendouz and Claudio Braga pulled goals back.
Vrancken condemned the childish defensive errors and urged his staff and players to take full responsibility. An injury-depleted Hearts side also lost defender Malachi Fagan-Walcott to injury during the second half. The victory lifted John McGlynn's Falkirk into third place in the Premiership, securing five consecutive top-flight wins for the club for the first time since 1995.
