NBA fans roasted New York Knicks guard Tyler Kolek for his musical apology to Taylor Swift.

New York Knicks fans roasted guard Tyler Kolek online after a video surfaced showing his musical locker room apology to pop star Taylor Swift. Kolek previously received backlash after calling Swift a "fake fan" and labeling celebrity attendance performative during an interview with teammate Miles McBride. Following New York's 109-97 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, teammate Jordan Clarkson shared footage of Kolek singing along to "Blank Space" to make amends.
Social media users mocked the gesture, calling it a humiliation ritual and an effort to avoid "tayvoodoo." Kolek subsequently clarified his stance, acknowledging that fans sent him past photos of Swift supporting the Knicks. He admitted he was misinformed about her fandom, claimed he answered the initial question poorly, and stated that he is actually a genuine fan of her music.
