The wing ace is in Japan with his nation and provided an assist in their opening game 4-1 romp against Qatar

Celtic winger Yang Hyun-jun has stated that he is staking his entire footballing career on helping South Korea win the Asian Games. The tournament is currently taking place in Japan, where South Korea opened their campaign with a 4-1 victory over Qatar in Nagoya City. Yang provided an assist during the opening match.
By participating in the tournament, Yang missed Celtic's recent Old Firm defeat and will also be absent for the upcoming league rematch on Sunday. If South Korea wins the tournament, Yang will receive an exemption from mandatory military duty. South Korea is scheduled to play Saudi Arabia in their second group match.
