The landscape has shifted since Gervonta “Tank” Davis told Ryan Garcia to sign the rehydration clause if he wanted a fight. Now Tank will have to play by Garcia’s rules if he wants a rematch. It’s been three years since…

Ryan Garcia has confirmed that official talks have begun for a potential rematch with Gervonta "Tank" Davis. Garcia revealed that Davis and Premier Boxing Champions head Al Haymon have contacted his team regarding the bout. Following recent victories over Mario Barrios and Conor Benn, Garcia is demanding the rematch take place at the welterweight limit of 147 pounds.
Davis reportedly responded from an alleged social media account, offering to meet at a catchweight of 144 pounds. Garcia also expressed that he wants Davis to take a tune-up fight first so he is at his best for their rematch. The negotiations follow their initial fight three years ago, which was contested at a lower weight class.
