Conor Benn has failed to impress since leaving promoter Eddie Hearn earlier this year, most recently falling well short in a challenge for world honours on Saturday night. Now, Hearn has answered whether he believes his former fighter is capable…

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has stated that he does not believe Conor Benn is capable of winning a world title. Hearn's comments follow Benn's recent second-round knockout defeat against WBC welterweight world champion Ryan Garcia. Benn recently left Hearn's promotional company to sign with Dana White's newly established Zuffa Boxing.
Hearn described Benn as a good fighter but concluded that he is not world-class, particularly in a weight class that does not suit him. Following the stoppage loss to Garcia, the 29-year-old Benn is expected to move up in weight and has reportedly already been offered another world title shot in a new division.
