Anthony Joshua reportedly rejected a more lucrative offer to fight Tyson Fury in the United States, insisting the bout take place on British soil. According to promoter Eddie Hearn, Joshua turned down millions of dollars to keep the signed clash in the United Kingdom rather than heading to New York's Madison Square Garden. The fight is now nearing finalization for Cardiff's Principality Stadium in December, potentially featuring a 2 a.m. start time.
Hearn explained that Joshua stood firm on contract terms specifying a UK venue out of loyalty to British boxing and his home supporters. Hearn also criticized Dana White of Zuffa Boxing, disputing White's promotional involvement and rejecting suggestions that Joshua would accept more money to move the super fight to America.
