Ajit Agarkar questioned over Naman Dhir’s ODI call-up: “How is it possible?”

Indian batter Hanuma Vihari has questioned the selection of Mumbai Indians batter Naman Dhir in India's ODI squad for the upcoming three-match series against the West Indies. India's series begins on September 27 in Thiruvananthapuram, featuring numerous squad adjustments due to overlapping Asian Games commitments. Dhir earned his maiden international call-up despite having limited experience in 50-over cricket, having played only 14 List A matches.

Vihari expressed surprise at the decision, stating on his YouTube channel that Dhir's domestic record remains unconvincing despite notable T20 performances. Across his professional career, Dhir has scored 351 List A runs and 710 runs in 37 matches for Mumbai Indians. Vihari suggested Dhir's ability to bowl right-arm off-spin may have influenced the selectors due to a lack of bowling options among India's top six.
