‘Everything’s feeling good’- Brendan Doggett eyes Border-Gavaskar Trophy spot after injury setback

Australian pacer Brendan Doggett is building his fitness in India to target a spot for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The 32-year-old bowler is recovering from a major hamstring injury that has sidelined him from competitive cricket since February 2026. He is preparing for two four-day fixtures against India A in Puducherry to push for a Test recall.

Doggett joined teammate Jhye Richardson for acclimatization sessions in Chennai, adapting to the heat after an Australian winter. The fast bowler stated he has been bowling at full fitness for two months ahead of the five-match series against India starting in January 2027.
