VfB Stuttgart midfielder Bilal El Khannouss reflected on his career ambitions, his debut in the UEFA Champions League, and named his top Ballon d'Or contenders in an interview with the Bundesliga. The 22-year-old Moroccan international, who made his loan move from Leicester City permanent in May, made his Champions League debut during Stuttgart's 3-1 victory against Viking.
El Khannouss credited head coach Sebastian Hoeneß as the primary reason he signed with Stuttgart, praising the manager's offensive style of play. Looking back on Morocco's run to the World Cup quarterfinals, El Khannouss named Kylian Mbappé, Fabián Ruiz, and Harry Kane as his top candidates for the Ballon d'Or.
