Ipswich fall 1–0 at Everton in a game of missed chances and a decisive red card. Four observations from Town’s display.…

Ipswich Town suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium following an early deflected goal by Thierno Barry. Despite creating several significant chances through Abdul Fatawu and Leif Davis, Ipswich could not find an equaliser. Christian Walton made his first league appearance of the season in goal, while Abdoul Ouattara made his full Premier League debut at right-back.
The match was heavily influenced by a VAR decision that disallowed a second Everton goal for offside against Brennan Johnson. Ipswich's comeback hopes were further damaged when Abdul Fatawu was sent off for a second yellow card with 20 minutes remaining. Despite being down to ten men, Ipswich rallied late but could not prevent the defeat.
