As part of a series of contract extensions, Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen extended his stay with the club to 2029, while director of sport Max Eberl earned himself a one-year extension to his contract. There is an interesting clause…

Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has recently extended his contract with the club until 2029. However, a unique clause in his contract allows him to unilaterally trigger an automatic one-year extension. If Dreesen chooses to exercise this option, he can remain in his role as the head of the executive board until 2030.
In addition to Dreesen's extension, director of sport Max Eberl also earned a one-year contract extension. Should Dreesen eventually step down, Bayern Munich has already identified 44-year-old board member Rouven Kasper as his ideal replacement.
