Thierno Barry saw a goal controversially ruled out by VAR, but David Moyes’ side still managed to claim all three points against Ipswich Town

Everton secured a 1-0 victory over Ipswich Town at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, extending their unbeaten start to the Premier League season. Forward Thierno Barry scored the decisive goal, his fifth of the campaign, when a long-range shot from James Tarkowski deflected off him and past Ipswich goalkeeper Christian Walton.
Barry had a second goal controversially ruled out for offside by VAR official Stuart Attwell, who ruled that an offside Brennan Johnson obstructed Walton. Despite his frustration with the decision, Barry and teammate Jordan Pickford expressed satisfaction with the win as David Moyes' side heads into the international break with two wins and three draws.
