Joshua has been pictured training at Davison's gym in Harlow in recent weeks, despite working with Oleksandr Usyk's team for his last two bouts. Promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that Davison will definitely be involved in Joshua's training camp and preparation process.

Hearn highlighted that Davison knows Fury extremely well, having previously trained the "Gypsy King" for five fights. Davison famously helped Fury return to boxing in 2018, guiding him to a draw against Deontay Wilder before Fury switched to trainer Sugarhill Steward in 2020.
