Chennai Super Kings have appointed former Indian left-arm pacer Zaheer Khan as their new coach, succeeding Stephen Fleming. The decision was heavily influenced by former captain MS Dhoni, who worked closely with captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and the cricket committee to select Zaheer. CSK managing director Kasi Viswanathan highlighted Zaheer's world-class bowling pedigree and his potential to address the team's recent pace bowling and death bowling struggles.
