PCB Bans Mohammad Rizwan: Board Fearing An Expose?

Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan is reportedly facing allegations regarding dressing-room information leaks and alleged links to online betting. Rizwan has cooperated with a National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency probe, which included the confiscation of mobile devices for forensic review. Despite his cooperation, no official findings or verdicts have been announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) or investigators.

In response to the allegations, Rizwan has repeatedly requested formal permission from the PCB to address the media and clarify his position. However, the PCB has denied his requests, citing regulations that bar centrally contracted players from speaking publicly without prior clearance. Rizwan has reportedly approached the International Cricket Council (ICC) seeking clarity over the phone confiscation and inquiry protocols.
