Derby County favourite Jeff Hendrick has been giving his verdict on the club's start to the season

Former Derby County player Jeff Hendrick addressed the club's difficult start to the season under manager John Eustace, admitting the poor run surprised him. Derby entered the Championship's three-week international break in the bottom three following 10 summer signings and an eight-player injury crisis that sidelined Matt Clarke, Patrick Agyemang, Derry Murkin, and Eiran Cashin.
Hendrick noted that while Eustace is under pressure from supporters, the manager's dedicated work ethic will help turn results around. He also suggested Derby must control the tempo more effectively and provide scoring support for top scorer Sam Szmodics, following recent attacking additions Henrik Meister and Fuseini.
