South Africa's Marco Jansen prepares to step up as senior bowlers Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi miss the upcoming ODI series against Australia due to hamstring injuries.
Marco Jansen is preparing to take on a leadership role for South Africa in their upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia. The series begins on September 24 in Durban, with subsequent matches scheduled for September 27 in Johannesburg and September 30 in Potchefstroom. Jansen steps up as senior fast bowlers Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi are sidelined due to hamstring injuries.
The 26-year-old all-rounder, who has made 83 international appearances, including 32 ODIs, stated that his leadership philosophy centers on calming and slowing things down during pressure situations. Jansen highlighted the value of picking the right moments to guide teammates rather than overwhelming them with constant instructions when under pressure.
