Rangers hero Ally McCoist broke my leg on Australia pub crawl – I feared my career was OVER

Former Rangers player Bobby Williamson has revealed in his autobiography that teammate Ally McCoist broke his leg during a team tour in Australia at the end of the 1983-84 season. Williamson stated the incident occurred during a drunken night out, taking full responsibility for what happened between the two players.

Manager Jock Wallace had granted the Rangers squad an evening pass while visiting Brisbane and Surfers Paradise. Williamson recounted being separated from the main group alongside McCoist, Craig Paterson, and Ally Dawson while searching for another venue before the accidental clash occurred.
