Former Jambos captain can see why Wouter Vrancken felt aggrieved against Kilmarnock

Pundit Michael Stewart criticized a VAR decision that disallowed Laurent Mendy's goal for Hearts during their 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. Referee Duncan Nicolson initially allowed the strike, but VAR official Matthew MacDermid instructed him to overturn it for a handball after the ball deflected off Kilmarnock defender Cathal McCarthy.
Stewart and Hearts manager Wouter Vrancken questioned the ruling of a factual overturn, arguing evidence suggested Mendy's shot was heading off target. Under the rules, an off-target deflection would have counted as a McCarthy own goal rather than a direct goal from a handball.
