Reports: Juventus closing in on reunion with Neto as new backup goalkeeper

Juventus are reportedly closing in on the signing of free-agent goalkeeper Norberto Neto on a short-term contract. The 37-year-old Brazilian has emerged as the front-runner to join the club following a torn ACL suffered in training by backup goalkeeper Kamil Grabara, who is expected to miss the remainder of the 2026-27 season.

Neto previously played for Juventus between 2015 and 2017 as a backup to Gianluigi Buffon before spells in Spain, England, and Brazil. He has been without a club since his contract with Botafogo expired in July, and talks between Juventus and the player are ongoing according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio and Matteo Moretto.
