Hearts’ international break plans: Friendly match, training schedule, time off, renew energy

Hearts manager Wouter Vrancken has outlined the club's plans for an upcoming three-week international hiatus following a 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock. The team will not play another competitive fixture until October 10 against St Mirren at Tynecastle Park. The schedule will include high-volume training sessions, rest for recovery, and a closed-door friendly match for players not representing their national teams.

The break also provides recovery time for injured players, with defender Malachi Fagan-Walcott, versatile player Oisin McEntee, and midfielder Finlay Pollock nearing returns. Vrancken noted the period will allow the squad to reset physically and mentally following a grueling stretch of 15 matches across eight weeks.
