Reborn identity: Salzmann finds his middle ground

New South Wales allrounder Will Salzmann guided the Blues to a One-Day Cup victory over Queensland at Allan Border Field with an unbeaten 70 off 65 balls. Coming in at No. 6, the 22-year-old helped complete the venue's largest successful chase alongside debutant Jake Scott, who scored 52 off 39.

Salzmann, who has experienced multiple injuries and was previously tested as a Sheffield Shield opening batsman by former coach Greg Shippherd, hopes regular playing time will clarify his cricketing role following his match-winning knock.
