Man Utd co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe made headlines last week after making another comment on immigration.

Manchester United legend Eric Cantona stated he would not have joined the club in 1992 if Sir Jim Ratcliffe had been co-owner. Speaking during an event in the Republic of Ireland, Cantona strongly criticized Ratcliffe's recent comments regarding immigration in the United Kingdom. Ratcliffe had claimed in a BBC interview that the UK is on the slide due to immigration and issues with benefits.
Cantona emphasized that football's greatest players come from different waves of immigration across France and England, citing historical examples including Raymond Kopa, Michel Platini, and his own family background. Meanwhile, Andy Burnham separately rejected Ratcliffe's assertion that the UK is on the slide during a speech at the UN General Assembly in New York.
