Pundit feels his former team-mate’s dismissal might be for the best…

Gary Neville stated that parting ways with Manchester United manager Michael Carrick is "probably necessary" following a 3-0 Premier League defeat to Bournemouth. The loss left United sitting 16th in the league table, intensifying pressure on Carrick after a prior midweek Champions League defeat to Como. Despite supporters singing Carrick's name, Neville argued that continuing in the role will become remarkably difficult for his former teammate.
Neville placed blame on executives Jason Wilcox and Omar Berrada alongside the playing squad, calling the situation at the club "an absolute mess." Fellow pundit Jamie Carragher also urged Manchester United to relieve Carrick of his duties immediately, stating that a change would be best for both the club and Carrick.
