Juventus prepare to ditch scouting algorithms to put more faith in Italians

Juventus chief executive Giovanni Carnevali is shifting the club's recruitment strategy away from algorithms to prioritize domestic Italian talent. According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport and CalcioMercato, the Serie A side is already monitoring three young Italian players ahead of next season: Cagliari midfielder Alessandro Romano, Frosinone goalkeeper Lorenzo Palmisani, and forward Antonio Raimondo, who is currently on loan from Bologna.

The strategic pivot comes amid structural changes and strict financial limits under a UEFA Settlement Agreement, requiring Juventus to cap deficits and align incoming spending with player sales. Enrico Paresce and Davide Cangini are currently being considered to help lead talent identification at Continassa alongside director Ottolini as the scouting department undergoes restructuring.
