Manchester United reported a seventh consecutive annual loss of £43m for the year ended June 30, 2026, despite generating record revenue of £677.6m. The increased deficit was driven by player acquisition expenses alongside an £8.2m exceptional cost linked to the January departure of head coach Ruben Amorim and restructuring efforts initiated under minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Under manager Michael Carrick, United finished third in the Premier League to secure Champions League qualification, leading the club to project record revenue up to £760m for fiscal 2027. The club's wage bill decreased by 3.6% to £302m, while chief executive Omar Berrada reiterated United's commitment to financial sustainability.
