Celtic’s Shin Yamada can’t catch a break as his loan spell at OH Leuven continues to prove

Celtic striker Shin Yamada is enduring a difficult second consecutive loan spell since joining the Scottish club from Kawasaki Frontale for £1.5 million. Currently on loan at Belgian top-tier club Oud-Heverlee Leuven, the 26-year-old forward has struggled for playing time and form across the team's opening fixtures of the season.

Yamada has made just two starts and accumulated 192 total minutes without registering a goal or an assist in six matches. After starting in defeats against Gent and SK Beveren, he was subsequently returned to the bench and remained an unused substitute during Leuven's 2-0 victory over La Louvière.
