UK Primer Minister Andy Burnham has strongly hit back at Man United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe following his controversial remarks.

UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has publicly rejected critical statements made by Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe regarding the state of the United Kingdom. Speaking to reporters en route to the UN General Assembly in New York, Burnham defended the country's economic standing, stating that the UK is the fastest growing economy in the G7.
Burnham's remarks followed comments from Ratcliffe claiming the nation was on the slide due to high taxes and immigration. Ratcliffe's history of controversial statements had previously prompted Manchester United's Muslim Supporters' Club to demand his departure from the Premier League club.
