Ronnie Burrell, Osceola Magic start fresh with big shoes to fill

Ronnie Burrell has been introduced as the new head coach of the Osceola Magic, the NBA G-League affiliate of the Orlando Magic. Burrell was officially presented on Wednesday at the AdventHealth Practice Courts at the Kia Center, taking over the role following the departure of former head coach Dylan Murphy, who left to join the coaching staff at Michigan.

Burrell steps into the position following a successful stretch for Osceola, which posted records of 22-12 in both 2024 and 2025, followed by a 26-10 finish last season under Murphy and general manager Kevin Tiller II. The franchise previously reached the G-League Finals in 2025 and the Eastern Conference Finals last year.
