Roshibina Devi wins silver, falls short against China’s Xiaoyu in final

Indian wushu athlete Naorem Roshibina Devi secured a silver medal after losing the women's sanda 60kg final 0-2 to China's Zhang Xiaoyu at Aichi-Nagoya on Thursday. Zhang claimed the gold medal after winning both rounds with a 5-0 score. The achievement makes Roshibina the first Indian woman to earn three consecutive wushu medals at the Asian Games, having won bronze in 2018 and silver in 2022.

Her silver marked India's 14th medal at the 2026 Asian Games. Earlier on the same day, Indian rowers Satnam Singh and Salman Khan took bronze in the men's double sculls with a time of 6:13.25, while Balraj Panwar finished fourth in the men's single sculls.
