There is a number that would make the New Jersey Devils interested in Connor Hellebuyck

New Jersey Devils general manager Sunny Mehta is reportedly content with his current goaltending trio of Nico Daws, Jake Allen, and David Rittich, but could show interest in Connor Hellebuyck at the right contract price. Hellebuyck is currently sitting out of Winnipeg Jets training camp following an unfulfilled trade request, leaving Winnipeg with diminished trade leverage ahead of the 2026-27 season.

While the Jets previously sought top draft picks or elite young players, market interest has dropped significantly since the summer. The Buffalo Sabres remain the only consistent trade contender, though talks reportedly stalled after goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen's limited no-trade clause took effect on July 1.
