The New England Patriots are evaluating roster adjustments after starting right guard Michael Onwenu suffered a broken right ankle, leading to an extended absence. Head coach Mike Vrabel noted that rookie tackle Caleb Lomu could potentially shift inside to guard, while veteran options such as Greg Van Roten, Ben Brown, and Walter Rouse also remain available to fill the void on the offensive line.
In additional team injury news, safety and special teams captain Brenden Schooler returned to practice after starting the season on the reserve/non-football injury list with a back issue, making him eligible for game action in Week 5. Meanwhile, reports revealed wide receiver Mack Hollins previously signed a liability waiver to play through a lacerated spleen during last season's playoffs.
