Elliotte Friedman recently joined the FAN Hockey Show to talk through where the Connor Hellebuyck situation might land, and one team has suddenly emerged as a genuinely interesting fit: the San Jose Sharks.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported on the FAN Hockey Show that the San Jose Sharks and goaltender Connor Hellebuyck have held preliminary discussions. Friedman stated that "tires have been kicked" regarding a potential move, though he could not confirm which party initiated the contact.
A central factor in potential trade discussions is whether San Jose's competitive timeline matches Hellebuyck's desire to contend for a championship over the next two to three years. Friedman noted that while the Sharks are viewed as a realistic fit, no official deal is imminent.
