Boston Celtics’ $56 Million Talent Floated As Potential Trade Chip

Boston Celtics center Neemias Queta has been suggested as a potential trade candidate following the team's offseason frontcourt additions. ClutchPoints analyst Bailey Bassett proposed that the 27-year-old big man could be utilized to acquire guard or wing depth if needed. Queta is set to compete for frontcourt minutes in training camp alongside offseason free-agent signing Mitchell Robinson and returning center Luka Garza.

Prior to signing Robinson, Boston signed Queta to a four-year, $56 million contract extension that runs through 2031 at an average of $14 million per season. While Queta proved to be a valuable contributor last season, the depth chart and his tradable salary give front-office executive Brad Stevens flexibility if roster adjustments become necessary.
