Eagles’ $100 million investment in Jonathan Greenard is getting no ROI (for now)

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Jonathan Greenard remains sidelined ahead of Week 3 after suffering a pectoral injury before training camp. The Eagles acquired Greenard via trade and signed him to a four-year, $100 million contract extension, but he has been ruled out of the team's first two regular-season games.

Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio indicated that Greenard is nowhere near ready for a full workload ahead of their matchup against the Chicago Bears. Fangio stated that Greenard missed significant conditioning time for several weeks during his recovery from the injury.
