It is hoped Max Bird will be fit to return for Birmingham City after the international break

Birmingham City manager Chris Davies hopes midfielder Max Bird will be fit to return from injury following the international break. Bird has played just 12 minutes since his transfer from Bristol City after suffering an injury in training on August 20. Both Bird and Taylor Gardner-Hickman are scheduled to return to training during the break to help relieve the club's midfield shortage.
Davies highlighted that Birmingham City must improve in possession, pointing to a 71 percent pass completion rate that ranks third lowest in the Championship. Although Davies remains committed to a direct, attacking mindset, he wants the squad to become more effective at controlling the ball, switching play, and breaking through opponent pressure.
