Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua mega fight U-turn as Newcastle sponsor move pays off

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are set to fight at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Saturday, December 12. The highly anticipated heavyweight bout is being bankrolled by Saudi Arabian promotional company Sela and streaming giant Netflix. Despite initial preferences from sponsors to host the event in the United States, Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn successfully pushed for a British venue.

The main event is scheduled to begin at approximately 1am UK time to accommodate American television audiences. However, the late-night timing remains subject to licensing approval, as the Principality Stadium currently operates under a 1am curfew for boxing events when the roof is closed.
