Canada and Brighton & Hove Albion striker Promise David was stung by a bee during a post-training media scrum on Thursday. The incident took place as the Canadian men’s national team assembled at Toronto FC’s Downsview Park training facility. It was the first time in the 25-year-old forward's life that he had been stung.
David enters Canada camp after joining Brighton on loan from Union Saint-Gilloise on transfer deadline day. He has recorded 23 minutes across two Premier League appearances for Brighton so far this season, while tallying four goals in 14 international caps under manager Jesse Marsch ahead of upcoming matches against Chile, Peru, and the United States.
