Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts was confirmed active and playing in the Week 3 Thursday Night Football matchup against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The contest marked the return of starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who had been replaced by Cooper Rush for the first two weeks of the season. However, Penix threw an interception on his second pass of the opening drive after an initial completion to Bijan Robinson.
Pitts entered the contest following a quiet start to the campaign, having recorded zero catches in Week 1 and just one reception in Week 2. Wide receiver Drake London also faced early-season volume limitations, tallying six total catches across the first two games. Pitts, now in his sixth NFL season, previously committed his future to Atlanta during the offseason.
