Liverpool midfielder Florian Wirtz has been called "not fit for purpose" as the club is pressured to make a bold move regarding the German's future

Pundit Simon Jordan labeled Liverpool midfielder Florian Wirtz "not fit for purpose" following the German player's difficult run of form. Wirtz joined the club from Bayer Leverkusen for £100 million plus £16 million in add-ons, but pundits including Jamie Carragher and Danny Murphy have questioned his physicality and suggested manager Andoni Iraola should consider dropping him.
Jordan highlighted that Wirtz's book value sits around £70 million, questioning whether Liverpool should cut their losses if he cannot adapt. Wirtz, who earns a reported £200,000 per week, has recorded just one assist in six appearances across the current campaign.
