Opinion: Liverpool’s Alexander Isak replacement arrives soon

Liverpool prospect Will Wright is emerging as a potential long-term successor to striker Alexander Isak. The Reds signed the forward from Salford for £200,000 when he was 16 years old after beating Arsenal to his signature. Wright has quickly progressed into Liverpool's Under-21 squad this season, recording five goals and one assist in four Premier League 2 matches.

Wright also scored on his EFL Trophy debut for the Under-21 side against Rochdale's senior team. With forward Hugo Ekitiké sidelined by injury and upcoming cup fixtures scheduled, the teenager is projected to push for senior first-team appearances during the current campaign.
