Jalen Brunson ‘fully cleared’ for start of Knicks camp after offseason surgery

New York Knicks captain Jalen Brunson announced he has been fully cleared for five-on-five action ahead of the team's training camp opening Tuesday in Tarrytown. Brunson revealed the injury update on Thursday during a live podcast event at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island. He had undergone surgery in early July to repair an injured tendon in his left shooting wrist.

Brunson played through the wrist ailment during New York's championship playoff run, earning NBA Finals MVP honors. The live event, hosted with teammate Josh Hart, also featured guests Jose Alvarado and Landry Shamet discussing their offseason contract extensions with the defending champions.
