Young Nigerian footballers train with Saints in week-long academy camp

A group of 61 young Nigerian footballers visited Hampshire for a week-long training camp with Southampton FC. The participants, ranging from under-10 to under-16 levels, traveled via a partnership with TNUK supported by local government. During their stay, the players engaged in daily coaching, analytical sessions, and workshops through the club's International Academy Partnership.

The visiting squads played four matches against local sides AFC Stoneham and Monksbrook, securing victories across every age division at Staplewood and Sholing's ground. Southampton winger Sam Edozie visited the players to pose for photographs, while Saints head of football programmes Tom Grevatt praised the camp as a valuable learning experience.
