Tottenham need to fend off competition from local rivals Chelsea for Bournemouth star Alex Scott’s signature.
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly seeking additional midfield depth ahead of the winter transfer window. The club previously attempted a late move to sign midfielder Alex Scott on a permanent deal from Bournemouth just before the summer transfer deadline. However, Bournemouth rejected the proposal because they had no intention of parting ways with the England international without securing a replacement first.
Spurs underwent a major squad overhaul under manager Roberto De Zerbi during the summer, spending a combined £185 million to sign midfielders Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes. Despite those additions, alongside loaning Pape Matar Sarr to Juventus, Tottenham have struggled with midfield control early in the Premier League season.
