The Dons secured their place in the final four clash with Rangers after downing Kilmarnock on penalties, but incidents before and after the game have seen the club punished by the SPFL.

Aberdeen have had their ticket allocation for the Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Rangers reduced by 500 tickets by the SPFL. The sanction follows supporter misconduct during their quarter-final match against Kilmarnock at BBSP Rugby Park, which Aberdeen won 3-1 on penalties following a 1-1 draw on September 12.
The SPFL concluded proceedings into two serious incidents involving Aberdeen supporters, citing an illegal pyrotechnics display before the match and a pitch incursion after full-time. In addition to the reduced ticket allocation at Hampden Park for the fixture on October 31, the club must cover the cost of the unsold tickets.
